I qualified as a Life Coach in 2006; but I feel I was one most of my life. I just did not even know what one was! In Ireland we were a lot slower to embrace life coaching than other parts of the world - so when I qualified, I was usually asked, "Is that counselling is it?"From the second I learned what it was, it just "felt right". It fit me like a glove. I love the idea of goal setting, clarity, focus, living in today but working towards a fulfilling goal.Once qualified I was hungry for more - I felt coaching on it's own fell short for me. So I completed Tony Robbins and Cloe Madanes ,Strategic Intervention course. While a results focused coaching methodology, it blends psychology, negotiation and personal development tools. It works at uncovering patterns. shifting perspective and giving clients practical strategies that can act on immediately. Again another perfect fit for me.Following this I fell in love with CBT - and so acquired a certificate in CBT techniques.
